Repel lemon eucalyptus August 26, 2010 Christine Baccoli Seems to work, the two times I used it. I purchased two bottles and the pumps don't always spray. You have to stop for a few seconds and then start again and it might spray a little.
Not effective August 22, 2010 Whidbey lover (Langley, WA) If there was a zero star category, this product would receive it from me. First time out with this spray found it totally ineffective...not even the smallest deterent. Based on my experience, it is a complete waste of money and to get a refund you must subtract out the shipping. I would advise using another product if mosquito bites are an issue for you,
Not Sure August 19, 2010 D. Justham (Jamestown,NY) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have to say I really liked the reviews of this product, but maybe I did not read well enough. We bought this for my son who was heading to Costa Rica on a mission trip. Wanting to stay as natural as possible this looked like a great alternative. When it arrived I sprayed a little on myself to see how it smelled. It is REALLY strong and not sure I could use it myself, but he might. I can't say if it worked or not as he ended up not needing to use anything while there so will have to wait to see. I am willing to look at any natural solution to bug control so I am sure I will try this out some way somehow, but I have asthma and extrememly sensative to odors. That said, this will not be on my skin or anywhere close to my nose.
BEST REPELLENT OUT THERE! August 14, 2010 Toni L. Broussard (Lafayette, LA) Living in South Louisiana is a haven for mosquitos!!!! This is the ONLY repellent that works for me. I am a hunter, fisher and outdoors woman and I've been outdoors in the worst areas. :)
40% Lemon Eucalyptus (60% Other?) Works August 8, 2010 R. Milton (Chicago, IL USA) Mosquitoes favor biting me for unknown reasons, regardless if I'm with a group. A mere 10-minute trip on a summer day in a major city, far from wetlands, earns me a bite. While wearing the product I've seen someone sitting next to me bitten more than three times, mosquitoes hovering over my head and was never touched. Yes, it's that effective.
The odor is a toss. Most smell a sweet lemon scent. Others smell an insecticide.
I wonder what the 60% Other ingredient may be. Overall, its application and warnings are no worse, if not better, than deet.
In gist, I recommend the product.
